The Black Queens of Ghana held their first training session since touching down in Kanazawa City ahead of their crunchy friendly against Japan this weekend.
Coach Nora Hauptle named 22 players after some days of training in Accra to embark on this trip and landed at their base in Japan on the early hours of Tuesday, July 9.
The team on the late hours of the day they arrived, trained for the first time with 23 players with US-based Princess Marfo joining the rest of the squad.
The African giants are looking to engage in much more exercises until the game day as they look to get ample time for quick acclimatization to the weather, the state of the pitch and others to make themselves poised and ready for the challenge.
The Black Queens will also use this as the perfect test to access themselves ahead of the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations as they look to make instant impact in their return having missed out since 2018.
The game is slated for this Saturday, July 13, at the Kanazawa Go-Go Curry Stadium in Ishikawa.
