Newly-appointed gaffer of Nsoatreman FC, Yaw Preko, says he is “looking forward” to adapting to the challenges ahead as he prepares to take the 'Efiri Tete Amanaso' head coach role following the confirmation of his appointment.

The 49-year-old has established himself as a major force in the game, having coached Medeama and the Great Olympics. He takes over a side that won their maiden FA Cup trophy last season, where they walked over Bofoakwa Tano in the final.

“Day-in-day-out we are learning on the job. If you are a coach and you land a new job, you ensure you don't repeat the same mistakes you made in the past,” Preko said at his unveiling.

“I spoke to Maxwell Konadu on his report and I think it is in the right direction. He made provision for certain inclusions in the team particularly where they fell short in the previous season. We will tackle all those positions and add my philosophy to it.

"I don’t want to complicate stuff. The team is already in motion so I just have to ensure we move the team to the next level. It’s a challenge and I have to be ready for it."

The former Hearts of Oak striker will start work effectively immediately as the club prepare for their maiden participation in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
