Executive chairman of New Edubiase United, Abdul Salam Yakubu Believes Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko should by now be at a level showcasing their title credentials both domestically and on the continent.

According to the astute football administrator, the two most glamorous club's in Ghana should weave-n large chunk of investment which will help them to deliver a comprehensive performance during games.

Abdul Salam Yakubu in an interview with Asempa FM said: "Hearts of Oak is a big brand in Africa. Their standard should have been at the level of Al Ahly. Where we are now, everything is about investment.

"Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko are big clubs in Africa, but for so many years, they haven’t done well. If you invest in football, the results will come."

While Hearts of Oak's overall performance has not been encouraging, Kotoko on the other hand have maintained, quite, a stable position on the league log in recent seasons, sparking concerns about their role both in Ghana and in the continent.
