Real Tamale United middleman, Baba Kushibo has confirmed the team owe them five months salary and confirmed the players are nonchalant at the moment and not fully concentrated for the game against Dreams FC.

Kumasi-based Nhyira FM carried a report yesterday that, the RTU players due to unpaid salaries have threatened to boycott their game today against Dreams FC and this actions of thiers will attract a huge punishment from the GFA to the club should the players stick to their words.

Speaking on Accra-based Peace FM in an interview, the enterprising midfielder confirmed the earlier reports where he disclosed the players are not motivated and concentrated in any way for the game since their plea of getting at least half of their unpaid salaries hasn't been listened to.

"We don't know who is going there (Dawu) yes because this a notice I will just put it that it is a rumour but it is the truth. We are not concentrated we had an engagement with the management demand for some salary arrears because the club owes us some five months. We were demanding they should give us part of the salary and it was not forthcoming and this has resulted into this decision," Baba Kushibo said.

The 'Giant of the Norths' after being relegated from the topflight in 2013, defied all odds to again gain promotion at the end of the 2020/21 football season having finished as winners of zone one of the national first division championship.

However, after three seasons in the topflight, the Blues have sadly been relegated again as they currently sit at the bottom of the Premier League with just 31 points, with two games for them to spare.

Baba Kushibo, who has netted four goals and provided three assists so far this season, is most likely to exit the club and seek a new challenge elsewhere at the end of the season.

The game between RTU and Dreams FC is scheduled for this afternoon, June 12, at the Theater of Dreams Park at 15:00GMT
