BREAKING NEWS: Barcelona make shock move to sign Ghana's KP Boateng

The 31-year-old is on the verge of completing his move to the Spanish La Liga Santander giants in the ongoing transfer window.

Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng is set to complete his loan switch to Barcelona from Italian club US Sassuolo.

According to Di Marzio, the former AC Milan and Schalke 04 enforcer is in advanced talks with the La Liga leaders over his possible switch.

Barcelona scouts are said to have identified the 31-year-old as a player who could ‘complement the attack’ with options already short.

He will join the La Liga champions on a six-month loan with an option to buy for €8m.

In July 2018, the Ghana midfielder returned to Italy after signing a three-year deal with Serie A side US Sassuolo.

He has previously played for Tottenham Hotspur, Portsmouth, AC Milan, Schalke 04, Eintracht Frankfurt, Las Palmas and Broussia Dortmund.

Boateng represent Ghana at the 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cup held in South Africa and Brazil respectively.
