The midfield dynamo has confirmed his departure from the Swiss Super League outfit after a successful loan stint.

Ghana youth international Majeed Ashimeru has announced his exit from Swiss club FC St. Gallen after a season-long loan deal from Red Bull Salzburg.

Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg loaned out the 21-year-old to the AFG Arena outfit during the last summer transfer window after a loan stint with Austria Lustenau and Wolfsberger AC.

In April, Red Bull Salzburg confirmed in a statement that the former West African Football Academy star will be part of their 2019/20 season campaign.

"After a season, I say goodbye to a very great club with amazing fans.I would like to thank everybody at the club who has made me feel at home, FC St.Gallen 1879" Ashimeru wrote on his official Facebook page.

"And thank you to the fans for your unflinching support throughout the season right up until the end. I have enjoyed every minute playing for You. For this I forever remain a fan.❤️"

He joined Red Bull Salzburg from Ghana Premier League side WAFA SC in 2017.

Ashimeru scored four goals with 8 assists in his 34 appearances for FC St. Gallen in all competitions.
