OFFICIAL: Ghanaian defender Claud Adjapong joins Serie A club Hellas Verona

The Italian-born of Ghanaian descent has completed his switch to the newly-promoted Italian Serie A club in the ongoing summer transfer window.

US Sassuolo have officially farmed out Claud Adjapong to fellow Serie A side Hellas Verona on a season-long loan deal.

The 21-year-old has joined the Blue and Yellow lads on loan until summer 2020 after passing a mandatory medical test at the club today.

He is joining Hellas Verona due to lack of regular playing time at US Sassuolo where he made only five appearances with a goal to his credit last season.

His season-long loan deal has an option of buying around a transfer fee of eight million euros.

Adjapong born to Ghanaian parents in Modena is still eligible to represent Ghana despite playing for the Italy U19 and U21 sides.
