Date for Junior Agogo's burial announced

The family of the ex-Black Stars striker have slated next week for the final burial of the 40-year-old.

Ex-Ghana international Junior Manuel Agogo who passed on last month will be laid to rest on September 20.
 
Agogo died at age 40 in a London based hospital after battling stroke for over four years after announcing his retirement from professional football 
 
He has been suffering stroke since 2015 and underwent rehabilitation in 2017 as he said in an interview with BBC.
 
According to the Agogo's family, Friday, 20th September 2019 as the day for the burial of the late Blackstars striker, Junior Manuel Agogo in London.
 
From the funeral poster sighted by Kickgh.com, Agogo would be cremated in a private ceremony after the burial service in England.

Agogo rose to fame following his output for the Black Stars at the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations, where he helped Ghana to finish third place.
 
He scored 12 times for the senior national team of Ghana in just 27 matches.
 
Agogo enjoyed a globe-trotting career that included spells in England, the US, Egypt and Greece.
 
He played for several clubs including Queens Park Rangers, Barnet, Nottingham Forest, Chicago Fire, Colorado Rapids, San Jose Earthquakes, Sheffield Wednesday, Bristol City, Apollon Limassol and Zamalek.
 
Agogo's final club was Scottish club Hibernian, where he spent a season before announcing his retirement in 2012.
