Ibrahim Tanko on cloud nine with the arrival of Issah Abass for U23 AFCON

The Ghana U23 says he is much elated with the arrival of the on-loan Mainz 05 attacker for the 2019 Africa U23 Cup of Nations.

Black Meteors coach Ibrahim Tanko has expressed his happiness with the release of Issah Abass by FC Utrecht for the tournament.
The 20-year-old was given the green light by the Dutch Eredivisie club on Friday after declining an early request from the Ghana FA.
Kickgh.com understand that the earlier request from the Ghana Football Association was turned down by FC Utrecht after the Dutch FA contacted them not to release the former Asokwa Deportivo forward to the West African country.
“We are glad that Utrecht finally accepted to release Abass  for the tournament," Coach Tanko said.
Abass has previously played for Ghana at the U17 and U20 level.
He has netted twice with two assists in his 11 appearances for FC Utrecht this season so far.
