WAFU Women's Cup: Nigeria beat Black Queens on penalties to reach final

Coach Mercy Tagoe and her charges dream of retaining the WAFU Women's Cup ended by Nigeria on Thursday evening.

Ghana managed to hold the Super Falcons of Nigeria to a 0-0 draw in their semi final clash at the Stade Robert Champaoux.

After lack of goals in the entire duration, Nigeria  booked themselves a place in the finals of competition after whipping the Black Queens 4-2 on penalties.

The Black Queens looked very dangerous in the first half but they failed to find the back of the net as well as the Nigerians.

Both sides could be found guilty for squandering the goal glaring opportunities and set-pieces awarded to them by the referee.

Nigeria will now face host nation, Ivory Coast in the grand finale on Saturday.
