Black Satellites suffer painful Niger defeat in WAFU U20 Cup opener

Coach Jimmy Cobblah's side suffered defeat in their 2018 WAFU U20 Cup opener against Niger on Friday afternoon.
The Niger U20 side managed to inflict a 1-0 defeat on the Black Satellites of Ghana in the ongoing tournament at the Stade Municipal in Lome, Togo.
Both sides failed to find the back of net in the first department of the match as it ended in a scoreless draw.
Two minutes after the break, Youngster Amadou Sabo Mahamadou registered the lone goal for the West African country with a superb strike to hand his side all the needed points.
The Ghana U20 side tried to level the score but squander several goal glaring opportunities as the match ended in 1-0 victory in favor of Niger.
Ghana will face Nigeria in their second group B fixture on Wednesday.
