SAD NEWS: Ghana U20 team still stranded in Niger; only 8 players in Ghana

The technical team of Ghana U20 team and thirteen players are stranded in Niger after their elimination from the 2019 Africa U20 Cup of Nations. understands that only eight of the players have arrived in Ghana after their exit from the tournament.

The eight players who have landed in Ghana comprises of Manaf Nurudeen, Fard Ibrahim, Michael Baidoo, Emmanuel Toku, Enoch Atta Agyei, Ishaku Konda, Sabit Abdulai and Frank Arhin.

"It's very sad because nobody cares about us after our elimination from the tournament," one of the players told

"We're still in Niger with the technical team because they said there's no flight to fly us to Ghana."

"We're told that we'll be traveling in batches...only eight players have travelled to Ghana after our exit"

"The government should come to our aid because our current situation in Niger is bad. We are lodging in a hotel which looks like a guest house in Ghana. The hotel is full of mosquitoes" he ended.

The Black Satellites contingent was expected to arrived in Ghana on February 12.
