The fire-spitting football administrator, who has never hidden his much adoration for foreign managers over the senior national team coaching role, is pessimistic the newly-appointed gaffer cannot handle the national team

Black Stars new head coach, Charles Kwablan Akonnor, doesn't have what it takes to coach the senior national team, thus his appointment is like asking a class two teacher to go and lecture at the University, according to outspoken King Faisal FC president Alhaji Grusah.

Following the complete dissolution of all the technical bench of the national teams by the Ghana FA with immediate-past coach James Kwasi Appiah being the biggest casualty at the helm, the former Black Stars captain has now taken up the hotseat of the high-profile post with the African powerhouse.

However, CK Akonnor's appointment has not gone down well with the veteran football administrator and has predicted doom for the young tactician as he never fancied an indigene for the top job of the four-time African champions.

And again, the tough-talking bankroller of the lnsha Allah outfit, who is known for his lack of diplomacy with the media, never shy away from his usual swipe at the media and did not spare the Ghana FA and the ministry over the appointment of the 44-year-old gaffer for the dugout role at the helm.

"I have never been in support of the appointments done by the Ghana FA and the ministry, although l don't like [that] but l wish him [CK Akonnor] good luck," Grusah told the assembled pressmen at the Baba Yara Stadium after his side's 2-2 stalemate against Bechem United.

"With regards to technical direction in football, just like the way you the media just asked me a silly question on the direction l am taking king Faisal FC to, the same question should have been asked on the national team by you," he fired to the amusement of the gathered pressmen.

He continued, "CK Akonnor has coached Kotoko, Secondi Eleven Wise, AshgAsh and Hearts of Oak and you have to assess him both theoretical and Practical on his C.V, but you seems to be taking things for granted. Even with the immediate-past coach James Kwasi Appiah, these current crop of players do ridicule him,"

"How can you instruct a class two teacher to go and lecture at the University?, Would that be possible?, It is you the media that shield the truth with regards to the appointment of national team coaches,"

"I once poached CK Akonnor at the Accra mall to come and coach King Faisal and he ended up joining Hearts of Oak. I personally like a white coach because the Ghana FA president [Kurt] Okraku has said that after the league season, six best coaches would be taken to abroad for refresh courses and why didn't he mention Burkina Faso as the country for this exercise?."
