Richard Kingson picks Osei Kuffour as Ghana's all-time best defender

The former  Bayern Munich star has been described Ghana's all time best defender, according to former Black Stars goalkeeper.
Former Ghana goalkeeper Richard Kingston has settled on Samuel Osei Kuffour as the most gifted defender to have featured for the senior national team of Ghana.
According to him, Osei Kuffour ability to combine all the attributes effectively earned him the place as the best Ghanaian center back he has seen.
He described the stalwart centre-back who capped 54 times for the West African nation as the 'greatest' defender.
“To tell you the truth a lot of players have done a lot for the country in the past but I think he [Samuel Osei Kuffour] is the greatest of them all as a defender,” Kingson  told Accra-based radio station Kingdom 107.7 FM
He stressed that, John Mensah is a very good defender but he will pick Samuel Osei Kuffour ahead of him.
Kingson also said the  leadership style of the UEFA Champions League winner during his stint with the Black Stars was exceptional having controlled the dressing room well.
Kingson is regarded as one of the the best goalkeepers to play for the senior national team of Ghana.
He represent Ghana twice at the FIFA World Cup — 2006 and 2010 — scoring one goal in his 90 appearances until his retirement in 2015.
