AFCON 2019 PREVIEW: Ghana vs Guinea Bissau

The Black Stars of Ghana will take on Guinea Bissau in the last group stage game in Group F of the Total Africa Cup of Nations at Suez National Stadium in Egypt.

The Black Stars have had a disappointing campaign thus far in the competition after two games picking up only two points against Benin and Cameroon in a 2-2 and 0-0 draw games respectively.
The match against Guinea Bissau later Tuesday comes in with a lot of advantage for the Black Stars as previous results in other groups has it that one point is enough to seal the Ghana National side through to the round of 16.
Even with a lot of positives going out in this encounter for Ghana, a lot of connotation comes in on the Ghanaian side with their patchy start to the campaign as nothing than a convincing win will be satisfactory to the critiques of the Black Stars.
The camp of Ghana are dealing with chronic injury setbacks and suspensions to key compliments of the team with Christian Atsu and Thomas Agyepong likely not to feature again in this tournament and Kassim Nuhu on a game ban with accumulated number of cards.
This will come in hand as full for the Guineans who could perch out a solid attacking side to ensure they get the results that will maneuver them through the group to the next stage as they have the full compliment of their team to choose from against Ghana.
With a point for them after two games, Guinea Bissau exhibited an improved outing against Benin in the second game after losing to Cameroon in the opening encounter and will parade a solid arsenal that could snatch a surprising result from Ghana who have been lacklustre in this tournament.
With over three hours left for kick, Coach Kwesi Appiah has announced a spirited side to beat out Guinea Bissau in the last group stage games with Kwabena Owusu and Joseph Aidoo making their debut start for Ghana whereas John Boye returns to the team after getting the matching orders in the opening game against Benin.
This encounter promises a lot of break downs from both teams as to who makes it to the next round of the competition looking at the other fixture between Cameroon and Benin who also have good chances of making to the next stage.
In an open game like this, one will expect Ghana to only make it to next round by at least getting a point in this game and to have an improved performance on the first two games that will propel the team to have the zeal to face off a difficult Round 16 fixture should Ghana make it out of the group.
