After a painful exit from the CAF Champions League, the Porcupine Warriors will be jetting off their campaign in the Confederation Cup against the fast-growing Ivorian top-flight club in the playoff round.

The hosts, Asante Kotoko dropped from the CAF Champions League after losing the final preliminary round on a 3-2 aggregate to Tunisian club Etoile du Sahel.
Coach Kjetil Zachariassen and his charges are hoping to redeem their image with a ticket to the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup after failing to progress in the Champions League.
Kotoko had an impressive campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup last season under coach CK Akunnor where they broke their 11-year jinx of not making it to the group stages of the competition.
The Kumasi based club will be eyeing for a resounding home victory over FC San Pedro in their first leg tie to keep their qualification hopes alive for the reverse leg clash.
With FC San Pedro, they are making their second appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup after marking their debut during the 2018/19 season.
The Orange lads are currently pegging the third spot on the Ivorian Premier League with six points after match-day three.

The Ghana Premier League heavyweights will be facing FC San Pedro without George Abege, Abdul Ganiyu, Wahab Adams, Godfred Asiamah, Maxwell Baakoh, Richard Senanu due to injuries.
Defender Wahab Adams and George Abege were handed a special training at their last training for the showdown but the duo failed to pass a late fitness test.
Black Stars 'B' center-back Habib Mohammed has also been suspended for the match after receiving a red card in their last match against Etoile du Sahel in the CAF Champions League preliminary round.

The Ivorian club travelled to Ghana without their two key players namely Privat Gilles N'Guessan who is suffering from Pubalgie and 22-year-old Wayou Constant who continuing his rehabilitation after a thigh injury.
