In an uplifting display of philanthropy and commitment to the development of sports, AA Sports International, a non-profit organization, has supported the Ashaiman Homowo Soccer Tournament, put together by the Ashaiman Divisional Council.
The 2023 Eastern Region Basic Schools 7v7 Soccer Championship commences to advocate talents to the country.
The 2-day competition is underway at the Koforidua Betom and Sarkodie Astro Turf with twelve (12) participating schools across the region.
In Attendance at the opening ceremony was Madam Ivy Asantewa Owusu (Mrs). – Regional Director of Education, Mr. Effah Isaac Tetteh – Regional P.E Coordinator, Mr. Kofi Sarpong Boateng – Ex Regional PE Coordinator, Mrs. Ellen Nancy Anann Mensah – Ex Regional PE Coordinator, and Mrs. Lorreta AKua Ayisi – Deputy Chairperson for Eastern Region Basic Schools Sports, as well as Solomon Opoku Acheampong, Eastern RFA Communications Director.
Eastern Region basic school Somanya Presby Number 2, was the runners up in the maiden edition of the 7v7 National Inter Regional Basic Schools Championship which took place in Kumasi last year.
The winner of this year’s Basic Schools 7v7 Soccer Championship will represent Eastern Region at the national level and if emerged champions will proceed to Africa
