The captain of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Amos Frimpong has cleared the air about the notion that the players of the club sabotaged their stand aside coach David Duncan who was made to side aside in April after recording the clubs worst ever season in the local game.
The club has had a very good run in the local game when Michael Osei, assistant to David Duncan, took over the mantle to manage the club and it is staged to be a sabotage on the former coach to fail with the same crop of players but captain of the side, Amos Frimpong has made it clear that even though the team was not playing well in the early exchanges of season, coach Duncan did his best for the club.
"If you watch the reign of David Duncan this season in our first six games, you will attest to the fact that he (Duncan) did his best but injuries to our players did him and the team a whole lot of bad".
Amos who is a graduate of Sunyani polytechnic urged the ardent supporters of the club to continue throw their support for the club as the team resumes training today for the kick start of the second round of the season.
Kotoko has so far added three players to their folds to invigorate their squad ahead of the next round of the season. Emmanuel Gyamfi from Wa All Stars, Emmanuel Osei Carlos from Ashantigold and Seidu Bancey, a free agent.
