Ghana coach Annor Walker has admitted that his side is prone to making mistakes at the back in the ongoing 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Algeria.

The Black Galaxies of Ghana has conceded three goals in two matches at the tournament, it could have been more against Sudan had not been magnificent saves from goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad.

Walker and his charged displayed a five-star performance in their second Group C game against Sudan to record a 3-1 comeback win to secure a place in the quarter-final stage of the tournament.

The Black Galaxies came into the clash at the back of a shock 2-1 defeat to tournament debutants Madagascar, which put them in a precarious position of having to secure nothing less than a victory over Sudan to keep their CHAN title hopes alive.

“Occasionally we saw some mistakes there but its part of football. The players need to be directed and coached. I am aware of some mistakes in my defence and as we move forward we will correct them,” Annor Walker told the media after the game.

“My players looked surprised after conceding the goal. When I got the opportunity to talk to them I psyched them up and let them know it’s not over yet.”

“I told them we can really make it and I made them know its not over until it is all over.

Ghana has already booked a place in the quarter-finals stage of the 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN) following the emphatic win over Sudan.
