The 2023 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations draw will be held today, October 12, 2023, at the newly-established Parc Des Expositions in the host country Cote D'Ivoire later today.
Global music icon and multiple award winner, Akon will take the stage as the host of the event in Abidjan later today.
Just like the last edition, 24 nations will be placed in six groups of four teams each, with the top two at the end of the group phase advancing into the round of sixteen, together with some third bests.
Host Cote D'Ivoire, reigning champions Senegal, runners up Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Mali etc all finished as winners of their various groups in the qualifiers and will await their groups for the finals today.
The 2023 AFCON will run from January 13, to February 11, 2024.
