Black Princesses coach Yusif Basigi says they were very much aware of the magnitude of their 2023 African Games semifinal game against Senegal.
The Ghana U20 Women's national team secured a superb 3-1 win over the Lionesses de la Téranga.
Speaking after the match on Monday night at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium, Basigi he knew the methodology Senegal were going to deploy as they were fired to avoid a third straight defeat to the Princesses.
“Once we qualify for the semi-final, we expect a tough game because we’ve beaten them before and I know they are not going to allow us to beat them for a third time.
“So I envisaged that it was going to be a tough match.”
Ghana will nip-it-down with Nigeria in the finals of the competition on Thursday, March 21, 2024.
