Western Morocco city of Marrakech has been confirmed as the 2024 CAF Awards host city.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) posted the notification on its official portal on Thursday.
It is anticipated that CAF will make the nominees for the various award categories public before the end of this month.
However, this is the second year in a row that the awards ceremony will be held in the tourist city. The event will be held in Morocco for the third consecutive year.
The awards ceremony has been scheduled to come off on Monday, December 16, 2024.
Last year, Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen won the African Footballer of the Year award, while the women’s category honours were gained by his countrywoman Asisat Oshoala.
Outstanding accomplishments in club and national competitions are recognised by the Awards, which culminate in the coveted CAF African Player of the Year honours for both men’s and women’s divisions.
