Head coach of Ghana's home-based national team, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, has admitted they are coming up against giants in the playoff round of the 2024 CHAN qualifiers but is very optimistic they will still sail through should they remain discipline.
The Black Galaxies have been in camp for over a month now looking to have themselves in the best of shape ahead of the herculean clash coming up.
They have tested themselves with some high profile friendly matches against Swedru All Blacks, Nania FC etc and the recent one was a 2-0 win over Togo in Lome, thanks to goals from skipped Issah Yakubu and in-form Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah.
Speaking ahead of the big game coming up, the former Black Stars assistant coach, strongly knows if the players are able to acclimize and understand his pattern and system of play, they will stand a huge chance of qualifying ahead of their sworn rivals Nigeria.
Having reached the quarter final of the last edition, the Galaxies are currently geared up to qualification first and will hope to at least exceed their previous performance.
Ghana in the last edition defeated Nigeria via penalty shootouts after two legs in the final qualifying round and will hope to replicate the same performance this time around.
The first leg is slated for this Sunday, December 22, in Ghana, and the reverse fixture will happen on Saturday, December 28, 2024, in Nigeria.
