Those in charge of recruitment at the Johan Cruyff Arena are reportedly keeping a close tab on the teenage defender of Nigerian heritage in an effort to snatch him away from the English elite division club this summer

Dutch Eredivisie heavyweights Ajax are eyeing Dutch-born Nigerian starlet Emmanuel Fejokwu from Premier League side West Ham Utd, a report from the Dutch media has indicated.

The 16-year-old centre-back, currently with the Hammers U18 youth ranks, has emerged as a viable target for the Amsterdam-based club and are readying themselves to test the resolve of the London side outfit over their academy prized jewel ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

According to Ajaxshowtime, the Lancers are currently courting the Nigeria-prospect budding teenager together with Feyenoord starlet Ephendrich Rijsenburg as they embark on recruiting promising talents for their academy youth ranks for the 2026/27 football season.

lt remains to be seen if the London Stadium campaigners would sit aloof to see the Dutch outfit prising away their academy graduate in the summer.

Fejokwu has so far taken in 14 appearances for West Ham U18 across all competitions in this current 2025/26 campaign.

Given his Nigerian heritage, the Netherlands-born sensational teen could become a future prospect for the Nigeria national football team at the senior level on the international stage after playing for the Netherlands and England U15 & U16 national youth teams so far.
