Angola have finalised their squad for Sunday’s African Nations Cup qualifier at home to the Central African Republic where a victory could keep up slim hopes of reaching the finals in Gabon next year. Coach José Kilamba picked 20 players in his squad

including newcomers Carlinhos from Petro Atletico and the Sagrada Esperanca goalkeeper Yuri.

There is also a recall for English-based striker Igor Vetokele, who has not played for Palancas Negras since last September.

Two defeats in March to the Democratic Republic of Congo in their last qualifiers left Angola with four points from four matches, five behind the Leopards and three behind the Central African Republic.

But if Angola win and the Congolese are beaten in Madagascar, they would still have a chance in September to still grab top place in Group B.

Squad:

Goalkeepers: Antonio Dominique (Primeiro Agosto), Mario (Kabuscorp), Yuri (Sagrada Esperanca)

Defenders: Abdul (Petro Atletico), Jonathan Buatu (Waasland-Beveren, Belgium), Eddie (Recreativo Libolo), Gomito (Benfica Luanda), Isaac (Primeiro Agosto), Kusunga (Uniao Madeira, Portugal), Natael (Recreativo Libolo),

Midfielders: Ary Papel (Primeiro Agosto), Carlinhos (Petro Atletico), Manuel (Benfica Luanda), Clinton Mata (Charleroi, Belgium), Paty (InterClube),

Forwards: Dolly Menga (Tondela, Portugal), Gelson (Primeiro Agosto), Igor Vetokele (Charlton Athletic, England), Pana (Maritimo, Portugal), Yano (Progresso Sambizanga).
