Former Ghana coach Claude Le Roy is set to be named as head coach of Cameroon following the departure of Rigobert Song after the expiration of his contract.
The veteran French tactician has agreed to personal terms to take the coaching role as the handler of the Cameroon national team.
Last month the Indomitable Lions failed to play a single game as they are yet to have a new coach after Rigobert Song’s exit.
The 76-year-old who has handled the Ghana, Togo, and DR Congo national teams is also hopeful he will bring a long lasting system to the fold of the Indomitable Lions which will help develop the national team greatly.
Le Roy has not coached a team since 2021 after his departure from Togo but has the needed experience to take over the Indomitable Lions again after winning them the 1988 AFCON in Morocco. It will be the third time he is coaching Cameroon since 1990.
However, note that this would have been a super-sweet breaking news but it is just an April fool… Kickgh.com wishes all our readers and partners a blessed month ahead.
