Veteran striker and two-goal hero, John Antwi after a stellar performance, has revealed his target, stating his ultimate aim is to aid Dreams FC cruise into the group stages of the 2023/24 CAF Confederations Cup season.

The 31 year old joined the Believers weeks ago after ending a long spell in Egypt and is in mainly to help the team in their Africa campaign with his experience and exposure.

After playing a one all draw against Milo FC de Kankan in the first leg in Conakry, Antwi, netted a brace last Sunday to help Dreams FC rose from a goal down to win 2-1 in the second leg to advance into the next qualifying round.

They will now come up against Sierra Leone side FC Khallon and will hope for another win in this tie to secure a playoff spot.

In a post-match presser, the experienced gunman was excited for their qualification and has now set sights on helping the team reach money zone.

"First of all the goal was not for me alone but for the team and I think it has helped the team to go to the next stage."

“So like from the beginning, I am coming to help the team with the little experience I have in Africa because I have been to the CAF Champions League final, I have been to the Confederation Cup final so I know how the terrain is."

“Mine is just to help the team to go forward at least to the group stage, this is what we are working on and I know God willing we will get there", he concluded

John Antwi has vast experience in the Africa game having featured in both the CAF Champions League and Confederations on so many occasions with clubs like Al Ahly, Al Masry, Pyramid FC and others.
