General Manager of Nsoatreman FC, Eric Alagidede says their main focus in the CAF Confederation Cup is to go beyond the preliminary round.
The 'Efiri Tete Amanaso' are in line to feature in their first continental inter-club campaign after winning the Ghana FA Cup last season, beating Bofoakwa Tano to the trophy on penalties.
Nsoatreman will kick start their Confederation Cup preliminary campaign on August 18 as they host Chadian club' Elect Sports, before traveling to Chad for the return fixture on August 23.
“Dreams FC’s performance will serve as a motivation for us. If Dreams FC were able to do so, then it is possible we can also do it but it has to be one game at a time. We are not pressured by their exploits in Africa last season” Alagidede told Kessben FM.
“We’ve not kicked off, so we cannot talk about the group stage or semifinals. For now, we can only discuss the two preliminary games. If we are able to progress to the next stage of the prelims that is when we can start setting targets. For now, our target is to move beyond the prelims into the group stages”
Nsoatreman are in camp preparing vigorously for the CAF Confederation Cup, FA Cup and Ghana Premier League, which will begin on Friday, September 6, 2024.
