However, in a dramatic turn of events, Fiston Mayele struck again for Pyramids in the 91st minute, ensuring the match ended in a 2-2 draw.
Despite their debut campaign in the CAF Champions League, Nouadhibou can hold their heads high, finishing third in the group ahead of Pyramids.
