Kwara United head coach Sanni Tunde has sounded a warning to Asante Kotoko ahead of their decisive second-leg clash in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round.

The Nigerian side put up a spirited display in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium but narrowly lost 4-3 to the Porcupine Warriors. Kwara rallied late in the game, with Shola Abdulraheem pulling one back in the 85th minute, though Kotoko held firm to preserve their slim advantage.

Speaking after the contest, Tunde expressed confidence in his team’s ability to overturn the result when the tie shifts to Nigeria.

“Our assumption is not what we met. They are a bit luckier today, that’s it. They are a bit luckier, but they are coming to meet us at home,” he said defiantly.

Kwara United will host the return leg at the M.K.O. Abiola International Stadium in Abuja on Sunday, September 28, where they will be determined to complete the comeback and secure progression to the next stage of the competition.
