Head coach of Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Joe Nana Adarkwah has stated with so much optimism that, they are very desperate for nothing but a win as they hope to mark their start in a huge fashion.
The Ghanaian champions will play in the CAF Women's Champions League for the first time this evening when they face Moroccan champions ASFAR FC at the de Laurent Pokou in San Pedro, Cote D'Ivoire.
The 'Nana Mma' ladies after beating Hasaacas Ladies via penalty shootouts to emerge champions, extended their dominance to West Africa subsequently where they defeated Nigerian side Delta Queens to book a spot in the main competition, having missed out last year.
Ahead of their debut, coach Joe Adarkwah strongly believes they will humble the reigning champions today and serge on to win ultimate since that's their main aim coming into the competition We came here purposely for the cup.
"Our preparation is going on very well so we are ready for the tournament.
“We have two teams who have national team players so it is going to be a tough game. We are going to work towards that and see how we are going to approach the game in our training. In Sha Allah, definitely we are going to win the match.”
The game is slated for 17:00GMT later today.
