Ghana U20 head coach Desmond Ofei has lavished praise on the Central African Republic U-20 team for vigorously battling them in their 1-0 victory.

The Black Satellites annexed the sweet win in their final Group C match of the U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

“The CAR boys fought really hard and made it difficult for us at times,” he said. “We lost a number of balls in our own half, which gave them some confidence and momentum, but I’m proud of the resilience the boys showed," Ofei stated.

“We didn’t rush the game. That was very important. The boys controlled the game, worked the ball well, and stayed patient even when the goal didn’t come early."

The win has propelled Ghana to climb top of Group C with seven points, while Central African Republic bows out of the competition, being recognized and praised for their robust performance.
