Ghana U17 coach Abdul Karim Zito says he was surprised to see the Black Galaxies slipping on numerous occasions against Madagascar.
Ghana suffered a shocking defeat to Madagascar in the Group C opener of the 2022 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) in Algeria.
Solom Raza scored the opener for Madagascar, with Olivier Tokinantenaina adding the second before substitute Augustine Agyapong climbed off the bench to score the consolation goal for Ghana.
Each member of the group have been awarded three points after Morocco pulled out on the eve of the competition.
Ghana will face Sudan in their final group game on Thursday, 19th January 2022.
Zito in an interview disclosed that he was shocked to see the Black Galaxies slipping against Madagascar.
"What surprises me much was how we were slipping I didn’t know what was wrong is it the boot, field or something else. Because seriously this type of field there are special kind of boots you use," he said on Happy FM.
"If you go to a tournament and you see such field immediately as a technical man you have to complain and I am sure if you complain they will listen to you.
"Because the way we were slipping was too much but when I look at Madagascar they don’t slip like us. We have another chance against Sudan we don’t need anything apart from winning. So when we win it will keep us in the tournament," he added.
