The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have pre-approved the Cape Coast Sports Stadium as the venue for the two most glamorous clubs in Ghana for the 2022/23 CAF inter-club competitions.
Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak will be playing their home grounds in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
According to the CAF, the 15,000-seater capacity edifice is the only pre-approved venue to host competitions organization by the football governing body.
Hearts of Oak's Accra Sports Stadium and Asante Kotoko's Baba Yara Sports Stadium were not considered for the competition which is scheduled to commence next month.
Asante Kotoko will be battling out with RC Kadiogo of Burkina Faso in the first round of the 2022/23 CAF Champions League preliminary stage while Hearts of Oak will face either AS Douanes (Burkina Faso) or ASR Bamako (Mali) in the second preliminary round of the Confederation Cup.
