Daniel Lomotey etched his name in history, securing Medeama Sporting Club's inaugural goal in the CAF Champions League.
The former WAFA standout leveled the score in the final minute of the first half at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday, responding to Abdelraouf Benguit's controversial penalty that gave the lead to Algerian powerhouse CR Belouizdad in the 39th minute.
Lomotey, acquainted with CR Belouizdad from his time with Algerian club ES Setif, joined Medeama at the beginning of this campaign.
Kamaradini Mamudu then secured a stoppage-time victory, marking the Mauve and Yellows' first-ever win in the competition.
Following their 3-0 triumph against Al Ahly last Saturday in Cairo, Medeama has accumulated three points, aiming for further success in their CAF Champions League journey.
