MTN FA Cup champions, Dreams Football Club, have been drawn against Stade Malien in the quarterfinal stage of the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup.

Following Tuesday afternoon's draw, Dreams FC will battle the Malian side in the last-eight stage of the competition.

The Ghana Premier League side secured their spot in the knockout stage by finishing second in their group, despite a 2-1 defeat to Rivers United in their final group game.

Dreams FC's advancement was sealed after Club Africain's draw against AC Lobito in the other group match.

Stade Malien, like Dreams FC, finished second in their group, accumulating 10 points to secure a spot in the quarterfinals behind RSB Berkane.

If Dreams FC triumphs over Stade Malien, they will face the winner between Future FC and Zamalek in the semifinals.

By progressing to the next stage, Dreams FC has become the first Ghana Premier League side to reach the knockout round of the CAF Confederation Cup since Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak achieved the feat in 2004.
