Egypt Premier League heavyweights Zamalek FC have reportedly rekindled their interest in signing former Liverpool midfielder Ovie Ejaria.
The 26-year-old is currently without a club after ending his spell with English League One club, Reading FC.
Ejaria was in Cairo last month, but could not reach an agreement with the Egyptian club after he was put on probation.
Reports emerging from Egypt suggest Zamalek intend to secure the services of the midfielder for 6 months to fully assess his level.
The English international will sign a long-term contract with Zamalek if he manages to impress in the short term.
Zamalek manager Jose Gomez is said to be a huge admirer of the enterprising midfielder.
Ejaria is expected to travel to Egypt in the coming days to seal his move to Zamalek.
Ovie Ejaria, 26, previously played for Liverpool and was promoted to the first team in 2016 under Jurgen Klopp, but he only participated in 8 matches.
