General Manager of FC Samartex, Edmund Ackah has revealed that they will play their CAF Champions League group stage home games in Accra or at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
Having won the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League - Samartex will represent Ghana in the 2024/25 CAF Champions League.
Speaking in an interview with Asempa FM, the veteran football administrator stated that management of the club is yet to decide where they will play their maiden Africa’s inter-club Premier competition.
"For now, we are considering our games at the Accra Sports Stadium or the Baba Yara Stadium," Edmund Ackah told Asempa FM as monitored by Footballghana.com.
"The Board is yet to meet but the final decision will be made and we will know the forward as to when we have to start preparations for our CAF Champions League campaign," he added.
Ackah is hopeful that the support of Accra or Kumasi-based fans will have a significant impact on their inaugural campaign in Africa.
