Sudan head coach Kwesi Appiah has explained why he made a late return to camp.
According to the experienced tactician, there were some delays in receiving some outstanding wages.
“Actually, I was delayed because of Pooley’s funeral. There were also delays in some payments," Appiah said.
With the remuneration issues being resolved, Kwesi Appiah will make a return to Sudan and prepare his team for their imminent 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Senegal and South Sudan later this month.
Sudan will also come up against Jordan in a friendly match as part of their preparations.\
