Ignatius Osei Fosu, assistant coach of Sudan has described Ghana as the toughest opponent in their group and are still hoping to qualify to the main competition

The Falcons of Jediane will square off with the Black Stars in match-day 3 of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on Thursday, in what will be a very cagey encounter.

Sudan made a very good start to the campaign with a vital 1-0 win over Niger, courtesy Abo Eisa's 51st minute strike.

Despite exhibiting a stupendous performance against group-leaders Angola in the second game, they still slipped to a painful 2-1 defeat in their second game and will definitely seek redemption this time around.

Speaking in the pre-match presser, the enterprising gaffer acknowledged the Ghana challenge and described themselves as the best in Group F after them..

“If you look at the group, Ghana is the biggest team and after that, it is Sudan because Sudan has also won the AFCON once. So, Sudan is a big team. We are also able to conquer the rest. It’s the heat of the players and the brain of Kwesi Appiah that is doing the trick. Nothing more."

The first leg is slated for 16:00GMT at the Ohene Gyan Stadium.
