Egypt legend Mohammed Aboutrika has condemned Mohamed Salah following his altercation with his coach Jurgen Klopp.

Salah started their 2-2 draw stalemate with West Ham at the London Stadium from the bench on Saturday.

However, after the game - Salah who wasn't pleased refused to comment on the incident and refused to put the matter to bed, saying: “If I speak today there will be fire.”

Aboutrika, a former cult hero of Al Ahly in an interview with beIN Sports reacted to the situation and defended Klopp.

“I love Salah but he’s in the wrong here because Klopp is the manager. These discussions should be held behind closed doors.

“Both of them are two club legends and this tense relationship should never be public. I feel very upset to see this happen.

“Salah is like my younger brother and a player should never behave like this in front of cameras. This is not a good ending to such a historical career he’s had there.

“No matter how big a player’s star power is, a player and a manager are not the same,” he added.
