Super Eagles gaffer, Jose Peseiro, insists that Nigeria have a better team than Ghana and claims that their defeat was an 'accident'.
Ghana drew goalless with Nigeria in Kumasi before a 1-1 all stalemate in Abuja in the world cup playoffs in March.
Ghana qualified to the World cup in Qatar ahead of the rivals, Nigeria courtesy superior goal difference.
The Black Stars won against Madagascar and drew with Central African Republic in the AFCON 2023 qualifiers in June.
Subsequently, the three-times world cup Participant placed third in a four-nation tournament, Kirin cup, in Japan.
Ghana have been drawn with Uruguay, South Korea and Portugal in the mundial later this year.
Jose Peseiro insists that Nigeria has a better team than Ghana and claims that the defeat was an 'accident'.
"I have a team with players who play in England, Italy, France, Spain, but unfortunately they didn't beat Ghana to go to the World Cup," Peseiro said.
"But I think it was an accident, I think Nigeria is better than Ghana."
