Former Black Stars assistant coach Maxwell Konadu has revealed he is in line for a potential return to South African football next season.
The experienced Ghanaian tactician is currently without a club following his departure from Black Leopards earlier this year.
However, in an interview with Graphic Sports, Konadu confirmed that discussions are ongoing regarding his next move, with his agent actively engaging multiple clubs in South Africa.
“My agent has been calling to check up on me, and since I’m back home now, I’m just waiting to take the next step,” he said.
Konadu, who previously managed Ghanaian clubs Asante Kotoko and Nsoatreman FC, added that he has already held informal talks with several clubs but prefers to wait until the current season concludes before making any official decisions.
“I’ve spoken to a few clubs already, but I won’t go into details about which ones. The focus is to wait for the right moment,” he noted.
He also acknowledged that a return to South Africa appears likely, especially with his agent operating within the country and offers steadily coming in.
“Since my agent is based in South Africa, it’s evident that the interest is from there. So, yes, there’s a high chance I’ll be moving back next season,” Konadu confirmed.
