Asante Kotoko chiefs have promised to open the cheque book if their players finish the job against Kwara United in Sunday’s CAF Confederation Cup showdown.
The Porcupine Warriors hold a slender 4-3 advantage from last weekend’s rollercoaster first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium and now face the Nigerians in a tense decider at the MKO Abiola International Stadium in Abeokuta.
Communications Director, Sarfo Duku, revealed that qualification will trigger extra rewards on top of the team’s usual bonuses.
“There is always a winning bonus even in the Ghana Premier League, but qualifying from the preliminary stage will add some appreciable amount of money,” he told Nhyira FM.

Duku, however, stressed that the incentive does not alter expectations.
“Asante Kotoko is ahead of Kwara United on any platform, so they should be able to account for them. The good news is that the match will be played on a neutral ground, so there is a significant advantage for us.
“I assure all Kotoko fans that on Sunday after the game, Kotoko will be eligible for the next stage.”
Victory on Sunday for the Porcuppines would set up a glamour clash with Moroccan heavyweights Wydad Athletic Club in the next round, a tie that could define Kotoko’s continental ambitions this season.
