Bibiani Goldstars reigned supreme over Burkinabé side Salitas FC with a 2-0 win in an international friendly earlier this mid-afternoon at the Dun's Park

Coach Frimpong Manso handed starting berths to goalkeeper Emmanuel Kobi, Charles Kamara, Ronald Frimpong, William Denkyi and others.

The day started with a curtain raiser game that featured GoldStars Old Players who were led by club CEO Akwasi Adu but still lost 1-3 to Kumawood movie stars in the end to pave way for the main event.

The Miners made a very explosive start to the game and made series of incursions but were struggling to break the resolute backline of the visitors until Abdul Farouk Amoaful finally opened the scoring account in the 36th minute.

After trailing by 1-0 at half time, the Orange and Greens looked very determined this time having pushed in the early stages in search of the equalizer but most of the efforts proved futile.

In the 62nd, Goldstars scored again courtesy Samuel Atta Kumi to double their lead and preserved it very well till full time.

This game will serve as a perfect test for both teams to identify their strength and weaknesses heading into their next league matches.

Bibiani Goldstars are currently leading the Ghana Premier League log with 34 points and will host Nations FC in what will be an enticing fixture to his weekend as the league resumes.
