Medeama SC are readying themselves for a crucial encounter against Egypt's Al Ahly, in a highly anticipated CAF Champions League match.

As both club's gear up for a nerve-cracking showdown at the Al Salam Stadium in Cairo on Saturday, it is not just about keeping a clean sheet as stated by gaffer of the Ghanaian champions, but an initiation test for in the group stage of the competition.

This match comes on the heels of Medeama's encounter with Remo Stars and Horoya AC, a game that saw them crushing both teams out of the CAF Champions League.

However, the Yellow and Mauve remain fearless and are looking at this crucial encounter as a platform to measure their prowess and potential on the continental terrain.

"We must make sure we advance to the Quarterfinals because this is a league competition rather than a knockout round," Adotey remarked on Kumasi-based Akoma FM.

"Going into the Al Ahly match, I want to keep a clean sheet, attack and defend, and make sure I don't lose."

Adotey opined, emphasizing the circumference and plan he envisions for the squad; "I'm confident that we won't lose in Egypt, and I'm preparing my boys well to ensure that we return home with positive results."

"I firmly believe that we will play in the quarter-finals following the group stages, and nothing can threaten my confidence."
