Nigeria defender Zaidu Sanusi, has undergone a successful surgery procedure in San Francisco, USA.
According to news from Portugal, Professor Jose Carlos Nozoronha oversaw the good outcome of the procedure.
The FC Porto marksman has traveled to North America for the procedure, aiming for a swift and successful recovery next season, as he won’t be able to play until the next football season.
Zaidu's focus is now entirely on his rehabilitation process, with the goal of rejoining Porto towards the season's end. His positive attitude and determination was evident as a member of the Nigerian Super Eagles squad in the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
With the exception of the semifinal encounter against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana, he took part in every game.
When Zaidu returned, he experienced a recurrence of the injury he had incurred in the AFCON while playing for his club.
