The African Football Confederation (CAF) has granted clubs participating in the CAF Champions League and the Confederation Cup an additional 5 days to register their players for these continental competitions.
The deadline for submitting player lists for clubs participating in both the Champions League and the Confederation Cup has been extended until Thursday, July 25th.
Initially, the continent's governing body had scheduled the end of registration for the first preliminary round on July 20th. This means that Ghana Premier League champions, FC Samartex, and Ghana FA Cup champions, Nsoatreman FC, have additional days to register their new signings.
FC Samartex will be representing Ghana in the CAF Champions League, while Nsoatreman FC will play in the CAF Confederation Cup. Both clubs have strengthened their squads with good players and are looking to make a mark in their continental debuts.
As they intensify their preseason trainings ahead of the competitions set to start in August, both clubs are gearing up to face stiff competition from other teams across the continent.
The extended deadline provides them with more time to finalize their squads and prepare for the challenges ahead.
