Ghana's WAFU U-17 Championship opponents, Cote D'Ivoire played a pulsating 2-2 against the youth side of FC San Pedro in their last preparatory friendly.
The Young Elephants had a very poor start to the game having conceded two goals in the early stages but found their pieces and settled down really well subsequently in the game.
After a dominant performance since going down, the Oranges nipped on two penalty goals in the course of the game to salvage a 2-2 draw in the end.
The Ivorian men U-17 side just weeks ago were in France for the Marne-La-Vallée tournament- where they secured three wins from four matches; 3-2 against Argentina, 4-1 over Saudi Arabia and wrapped up with 2-1 against Japan, having drawn 2-2 earlier against the hosts- which was the only drawn game they recorded.
With all these games, it is obvious the Elephants are ever ready and adequately prepared for the upcoming WAFU Zone B U-17 tournament.
They are expected to arrive at the Kotoka International Airport by 3:55pm later today to continue with their preparations and will face host nation on Wednesday, May 15, in the opening game of the tournament.
