Assistant coach of Hasaacas Ladies, Emmanuel Kwesi Mensah insits his side's failure to hang on to the match and fight till the end of the final whistle caused their defeat.
The Hasmal Ladies succumbed to a 3-0 defeat to Edo Queens on Wednesday in their second group game of the 2024 WAFU Zone B Women’s Champions League qualifiers.
The Ghanaian champions are lurking on the third position in Group B with just one point and are in line to get kicked out from the tournament in Côte d'Ivoire.
“Football is very chaotic. If you're conceding and you don't keep your head up, you keep on conceding. And I think the girls gave up too early. They should have still fought till the end, but they gave up too early.
“The other thing, yes, it's not the best. Two games without being able to score shows that attacking-wise we have not been at our best. It's unfortunate because that is not Hasaacas' standard.
“We need to work on that and in our next game, try to score goals.”
Hasaacas Ladies will clamp-it-down with AS Garde National of Mauritania on Saturday in their final group game and have to win determinately while expecting the result in the other group game happens in their favor.
